Yes! You will have your own elk tag in your pocket. You can harvest a bull if you get the chance.
8 to 12 students will attend each set of dates. Don’t worry, Utah is a big state and there are plenty of areas to hunt so as to not step on toes.
No. We will procure the tags for you for to make things hassle free. But keep in mind the cost of the state tag and license is not included in the course!
Each set of dates will come with its own set of plusses and minuses. Here is some info on each set of dates to help you make your decision. All tags are OTC but can be difficult to obtain so me and my team will obtain your tags for you.
All dates will be in both any bull units and spike units. Hunters who are archery hunting in any bull units are allowed to harvest any elk, cows, and bulls, regardless of size. Hunters in spike units may only harvest cow elk or bulls with an unbranched antler on at least one side. During the later rifle hunts, hunters in any bull units may harvest any bull, but only bulls. Any bull units have less dense elk population, but allow hunters can shoot any bull they find. Hunters in spike units may only harvest bulls with an unbranched antler. These units have more elk, but you are limited to harvesting spikes.

In September the weather can be all over the place, most likely it will be in the high 80s during the day with it getting down to the low 40s maybe even 30s at night. By the time we get to October it will be generally high 70s and freezing and below at night, We have had a couple of snow storms up there in October, and we have also had occasional days in the high 80s in October. The weather can be all over the place, so I would come prepared for both.
The closest Domestic Airport is Provo, Utah (PVU) and the closest International is Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC).
